About Cruzstar
What is Cruzstar?
Cruzstar is a free online software that allows people to place, manage, and plan meal orders for
their events via the internet. Customers can search for restaurants and caterers in their local
area, while utilizing online tools to conveniently
and efficiently manage food events all from their desktop.
Is Cruzstar really time-saving?
A lot of our customers think so. You might think it's quicker to pick up the phone
and call the food provider yourself, but then you're not thinking about the total picture.
How do you know the provider is available for your event, or what if you don't have a menu on hand?
With Cruzstar, you can quickly find available food providers within seconds and view their menus.
Placing an order with guests? No problem. Send them a Cruzvite and let your guests order on their own time;
saves you the hassles of doing it the old way - emailing them, waiting for reponses, calling, waiting, you get
the picture. Plus, Cruzstar Reps follow up on your order with the food provider on the day of,
allowing you more time to attend other important matters.
Is Cruzstar free to use and are there any hidden costs?
It's free! Cruzstar is absolutely free to use for customers. Also, unlike other food ordering websites, there are no
hidden costs in the menu prices at Cruzstar. We make
every effort to ensure that the restaurant and caterer’s in-store menu price is identical to the one online.
How does Cruzstar make money?
Cruzstar receives sales commissions from partnered food providers for generating orders and
coordinating the orders through completion.
What type of vendors and food does Cruzstar provide?
Cruzstar makes every effort to offer variety in restaurants, caterers, cuisine types, and menu
selections to its customers. Our goal is to not be a directory of all local food providers. We partner with only quality restaurants and caterers (takeout and delivery) of almost every cuisine
type. Most of our partnered eateries are chosen based on fine criteria such as reliability, service, and food quality.

How to Use
Do I need an account to use Cruzstar?
No. You can still search for restaurants and browse menus. However, during checkout, we will
request account information mainly for identity, payment, and order tracking purposes (all information is
securely stored and never released to third-party). We do
advise customers to create an account in order to gain access to our free convenient planning tools and features.

Do I need to download any software to use Cruzstar?
Absolutely not. Cruzstar is entirely a web-based service that can be accessed at this site. We
may provide future bonus tools that will require downloading, but our core features can be used here (
www.cruzstar.com).
How do I place an order?
Quick and simple! Go to
www.cruzstar.com. In the search area, enter
your event details into the required fields. We’ll then connect you with quality restaurant and caterers available for your event.
How do I change my account information?
Easy. From your account page, click on the "My Profile" link to change any personal information.
How can I view my past, present, and future orders?
Click on the Order History link from your account. You can then view the status of all orders.
One of our unique features allows customers to track an order that’s currently processing every step of the way.
Orders currently processing will show status
in three stages: Processing (payment is being verified),
Preparing (restaurant has received order and is preparing it), Ready (order is ready for pickup),
or Delivered (order is on route for delivery).
Can I pre-purchase an order?
Yes. You can place an order for any future date up to an entire year. From the homepage, start
placing an order by entering your future event date that you want to order for.
Another method of pre-purchasing is through your calendar tool. We understand that your life is busy,
so we created a Calendar function with pre-purchasing ability. Click on the Calendar link from your
account page, select your event date, enter your details, and click "Save & Place an Order" to begin pre-purchasing.
What if I have special needs for my order?
No problem! Before adding a menu item to your cart, you can click on "Special Instructions" to enter a comment
about the item like "No pickles and add extra mayo." Also, during checkout, you can provide instructions on the overall order in the Special Instructions for Order box. Feel free to leave a comment like “Please include enough plates, cups, forks, and spoons.”
Can I invite guests to participate in my order?
Absolutely! Incorporating guests’ feedback and participation is very important when planning an event.
Instead of scrounging up orders from your participants, we made things a lot easier with our unique
Cruzvite function. Send multiple guests an invite to your order, and let them make their own selections.
During checkout, you will be given an option to send a Cruzvite. The system will hold the order and
create a link for guests to access and modify it. No additional work for you.

If you have any issues regarding your order, please contact Cruzstar
not the food provider.

customerservice@cruzstar.com (Note: email request will take up to 1 business day for reply. Call customer service for immediate changes). Please make sure you include specific details such as your name, phone number, order number, and requested changes.
When does the food provider receive my order?
After submitting your order, our Customer Service Reps immediately review it to ensure
everything is correct. We usually forward it to the food provider within 24-48 hours from your
event date, depending upon the order size; very large orders are forwarded sooner. If you have
any questions about your order, don't hesitate to contact us.
Will I be notified before my order arrives?
Yes. We want to eliminate any anxiety or stress you may have as much as possible.
At least a half hour before your event time, a Cruzstar customer service rep will contact you
by the method you chose: phone, text message, or email.
How do I change my order?
To change a Saved Order or Cruzvite Order, go to the corresponding section under
your account; there, you will find an "Edit" link beside your order that will allow you to modify your items
in the shopping cart.
If your order has already been confirmed or processed and is under the Order History page of your account,
please contact Cruzstar to make any changes. Typically, if the order status doesn't show "Preparing," then
you can still modify the order; however, we'll still do our best to accomodate any last-minute changes.

Can I cancel an order?
Yes. If the order status does not show "Preparing" under your Order History page, then it can still be canceled. Please refer to
our cancellation policy below. This is just a general guideline, and we’ll do our best to
accommodate last-minute requests.
Orders up to $100 will require 16 hrs notice.
Orders greater than $100 and up to $200 will require 24 hrs notice.
Orders greater than $200 and up to $500 will require 48 hrs notice;
and orders more than $500 will require 72 hrs notice.
Pricing and Payment
What’s included in the menu price?
The menu price includes the cost of the item, which is identical to the price found in the
restaurant or caterer’s physical “brick and mortar” store. Unlike other food ordering websites,
there are no hidden costs at Cruzstar. We make every effort to ensure that the restaurant and
caterer’s in-store menu price is identical to the one online.
What is the minimum order amount?
Most restaurants and caterers do require a minimum order amount. The minimum order amount can be found above the accepted payment details on a restaurant or caterer's details page.
What is the maximum order amount?
Given ample amount of notice (at least a week), there is no maximum order amount for very large orders (around $1,000).
However, very large orders might not be able to be fulfilled by the food provider if submitted only days
from your event date. We recommend calling Cruzstar first at 1-877-CRUZSTAR to ensure that the
food provider can handle your large order.
Is there a delivery charge?
Some restaurants do require a delivery charge. The delivery charge will be indicated
on a restaurant’s details page; it will be included during the final checkout.
What are the methods of payment?
For convenience and easy-handling, Cruzstar only accepts credit card payments (Visa, MasterCard, Discover,
and American Express). Your credit card will be charged by the food provider on the day of the event.
